The time is here for Haitian art and culture to be among the countries represented at Miami’s Art Basel. Each year, Art Basel brings the world’s greatest art and artists to Miami. In 2015 Haiti Friends will bring its large collection of more than 2,000 original works of Haitian art representing the great masters to the newest waves of up and coming female and male artists. Astounding visions of daily life and the spiritual world are expressed through rich pops of paint to canvas, revealing mysteries, ecstasies, and triumphs and drawing us into their world.
In 2015, Haiti Friends in collaboration with the Little Haiti Cultural Center will create a Haitian satellite fair that highlight the artistic genius of Haiti through sponsored exhibits, workshops, music, rahrah, and food. The 4-day event will celebrate Haitian art and honoring the profound artistic legacy of South Florida’s very large and dynamic Haitian community.
