Lucy Rawson, Founder & Board President
As a long-standing supporter of Haiti, Lucy’s love for the country’s arts and people have prompted a history of collecting and promoting artwork throughout the globe. Lucy is the key component in the success of the Friends programming, including HTRIP, of which she directly oversees. Lucy has served as the ambassador to the Friends programs for decades, and brings engaged donors to Haiti to meet the artists and see the trees
Vince Lackner, Treasurer
Vince Lackner, creator and principal developer of the Lackner 6-in-1 Estate and Trust Administration System, is a practicing attorney with exceptional experience in tax and probate law, including five years with the Pittsburgh law firm of Kirkpatrick Lockhart. A nationally recognized pioneer in the use of computers in law and professional offices, he founded The Lackner Computer Group, Inc., in 1985 (now known as Lackner Group) to develop software and support professionals engaged in estate and trust administration.
Starry Sprenkle-Hyppolite
Restoration and landscape ecologist with applied experience in reforestation in Haiti and Costa Rica, supporting Conservation International's global work in Natural Climate Solutions for capturing carbon including reforestation, assisted natural regeneration, and trees in agriculture, with an emphasis on adding value around scientific approaches and innovative monitoring. Starry is an experienced director in international development and humanitarian contexts, skilled in strategic development, research, program management and direction, resilience, civil society strengthening, community forestry, and environmental policy. She is committed to transparency, accountability, and building local capacities.
Evens Augustin
Evens Augustin holds a BS in Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. An entrepreneur with a practical interest in technology businesses, he co-founded a consumer health and wellness company offering better living through better sleep. He has a comprehensive background in the areas of E-commerce, Finance, Supply Chain Management, transaction security, and content distribution.
Peter Dailey
With over 25 years experience in the power and energy industry, Mr. Dailey has learned the key economic drivers to identify and build renewable energy and clean technology businesses. His expertise and knowledge help guide IEP in all stages of ownership, including conceptualization development, execution, financing and operations & maintenance. Over many years working in M&A with the capital markets, Mr. Dailey has earned an industry-wide reputation for honest, decent, and fair business dealings. He has excited in excess of $3 billion in transactions. Mr. Dailey brings great business leadership to Haiti Friends as we develop commercialization
Matt Anderson
Matt lives in Greensboro, NC and is the Senior Director of Business Development and Advocacy for Children’s Home Society of North Carolina. He is responsible for managing business relationships, program growth, and governmental affairs. Matt is from Pittsburgh, PA and earned his MSW from the University of Montana.
Dave Brauer
David is completing his doctoral thesis at Durham University Business School, dealing with the question of consumer choice in an industry with many competitors. Upon completion the study will help organizations understand the role of authenticity and its relationship to competitive advantage and niche width through the viewpoint of organizational ecology.
Enzo M. Zoratto, P.E.
Mr. Zoratto has built and managed companies in the energy, infrastructure, environmental, and logistics markets over the last 25 years. He is recognized for his ability to conceptualize, develop and implement successful growth strategies. He has held profit and loss responsibility throughout most of his career and has grown businesses from inception to over $1 billion , through both organic growth and acquisitions. Mr. Zoratto currently develops energy and infrastructure projects with IEP in challenging environments both within the United States and internationally. He has considerable experience working in Haiti on infrastructure projects.
